This house steps down its site in four foot increments, with three levels on the upper floor and two on the lower floor. Clerestory windows wrap virtually the entire house, allowing views to the surrounding foothills over the top of any nearby houses. Two large stone fireplace masses push up through the roof and extend into the landscape.
