Custom Residential | Loft House

The owners of this house wanted large, open interior spaces reminiscent of city loft apartments but in the foothills. The simple, industrial looking design uses an innovative structural system that sandwiches 6” of rigid foam between two thick layers of wire reinforced concrete that also serves as the exterior finish. It is very strong in resisting lateral (earthquake) loads and very fireproof. The two upper levels are wrapped with extensive decks.
